Many of you know that Halloween is my all time favorite holiday, but did you also know that valentine’s day is a close second? I bet you didn’t see that coming! It’s true! And I don’t love valentine’s day because the “commercial powers that be” tell you to you should actually treat your significant other like you love them.. and I don’t love that many singles can easily feel like they are left out of the most romantic day of the year… no no no… those are all reasons to ditch valentine’s day!
Instead, I love valentine’s day because you can easily make an ordinary day, into a special day with nothing more than some eskimo kisses! Yes, it’s the simple things in life that make life worth living and valentine’s day is a perfect time to embrace this ideal. I also have to admit that I love some very superficial things about valentine’s day! The reds, the pinks, the hearts, the glitter… all things girlie are totally acceptable and it’s perfectly acceptable to go totally over the top with ribbons, glitter, and bows! It’s also one of the only days of the year that almost every agrees that pink and red can go together. For the record, I think the idea that red and pink clash is a horrible myth spread by party poopers! lol!
